Chief Financial Officer - North West

Our client is a branded Irish consumer goods manufacturer who sells its products in Ireland and international markets and has ambitious growth plans over the coming 3-5 years.  Lansdowne Executive Search has been retained to recruit a Chief Financial Officer with responsibility to review and reshape the finance function for strategic and operational future needs.  Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this role will form part of the management team and will drive the finance function to support back office operations as well as group wide structures in a high growth environment.

We are looking to attract a finance professional with a strong operational and/or manufacturing background.  You will be involved in all commercial discussions and decisions for the organisation and will support the CEO in driving growth activities.  A track record of leading an organisation through extensive change is required.  Experience of driving and managing activities within the core Finance functions of control, reporting, analysis, treasury, cash, capital and tax management, governance and audit, IT Systems, will be required.  Your ability to work independently is essential.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board, the CFO will have direct responsibility for the Finance organisation which has a broad scope of work. You will have responsibility for IT and Infrastructure within the business and will manage all key external stakeholder relationships in terms of banking, legal and tax partnerships.  The role will operate as a true business partner to the CEO and Board and will build relationships across all key internal and external stakeholders.

The role will require a well-developed business acumen with the requirement to operate in a Private Equity environment in terms of Board reporting, controls, guidance and the establishment of corporate KPIs to deliver strong growth and shareholder value.  You will be an effective communicator and presenter, both verbal and written, and will provide constructive challenge and guidance across all commercial areas of the business.                           

We are seeking to attract a high energy and ambitious individual who has a proven track record of achievement in a commercial, manufacturing and/or operations environment.  A dynamic, highly collaborative and self-motivated work style is essential, supported by high personal standards in terms of quality, communications and the desire to succeed.  Candidates will be educated to degree level or equivalent in an appropriate discipline.
