HR Business Partner

Our client is the Irish subsidiary of an International plc with a presence in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, employing in excess of 300 people, across three divisions.  The organisation is a leading sales and distribution player in its sector offering an extensive range of products, technical services and management services to its clients.  Lansdowne Executive Search has been retained to recruit a HR Business Partner with responsibility to review and reshape the HR function for strategic and operational future needs.  Reporting to the Managing Director, this role will form part of the local management team and will drive the HR function both as a true partner to the business and as a strategic leader within the business.

We are looking to attract someone with significant HR leadership and experience in influencing senior leaders and critical stakeholders.  A track record of leading an organisation through extensive change is required.  Experience of driving and managing activities within the core HR functions of reward, employee relations, industrial relations, communications, compliance, talent management and development, organisational design and change management, will be required.  Your ability to work independently will be well regarded.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the HR Business Partner will lead a small team of HR professionals and administrative support people.  You will also form part of the Irish Management Team and will work closely with other leaders within the business.

The role will require a well-developed business acumen with the requirement to utilise both external and internal insights to improve the impact that HR has on the success of the business.  You will be an effective communicator and presenter, both verbal and written, and will provide constructive challenge and guidance across commercial and behavioural ways of working.  You will coach and advise senior leaders, negotiate in conflict scenarios and resolve complex issues as they arise.

You will build relationships across all key internal and external stakeholders and will represent the Irish business’ HR function within the Group.  Some HR functions are currently outsourced, and you will manage and review these relationships.

We are seeking to attract a high energy and ambitious individual who has a proven track record of achievement in a commercial environment.  A dynamic, highly collaborative and self-motivated work style is essential, supported by high personal standards in terms of quality, communications and the desire to succeed.  Candidates will be educated to degree level or equivalent in an appropriate discipline.

An attractive remuneration package, including base, bonus, car allowance, pension, healthcare, will be offered to the successful candidate.

Candidates will be sourced through both Advertising and Executive Search processes.
