Applications are invited for the following post:
Vice-President for Development
Ranked among the top universities in the world, with over 18,000 students and 90,000 global alumni, NUI Galway has an impressive trajectory of growth and impact through its delivery of an exceptional educational experience as well as excellent research and industry connectivity.
In our current strategy Vision 2020, we aim to:
- Involve alumni in a range of University activities, including career support, volunteering, fundraising, mentoring, and adjunct appointments.
- Ensure that Foundation and Alumni Association activities continue to be mutually supportive, conscious of their diverse but interrelated missions in support of NUI Galway.
- Promote student awareness of the Foundation and Alumni Association, thereby building future networks of support.
- Develop a plan of engagement with the Alumni Association around public events and activities.
- Work actively with the University Management Team to identify and prioritise University projects for funding over the next five years.
The impact of these developments is that NUI Galway will be recognised as an exemplar of alumni involvement in areas of university activity, improving the flow of information to alumni, increasing activity, visibility and geography of global and national alumni groups.
As we develop our new strategy for the period beyond 2020, this emphasis on our alumni and philanthropic support of NUI Galway will be key in the University’s development. The new Vice-President: Development will have the opportunity to play a central role in the implementation of that strategy.
