Glasnevin Trust is the leading provider of Burial and Cremation services in the greater Dublin area and manages a total of five Cemeteries and three Crematoria, as well as the Glasnevin Museum. As Ireland’s iconic National Cemetery, Glasnevin is the guardian and storyteller for over 1.5 million people who have helped shape the Ireland of today, and has become an important location for national historical commemorations.

Reporting to the Chairman and Board of Glasnevin Trust, the Chief Executive Officer will provide the senior management team with inspiring and effective leadership, strategic direction and oversight of all Trust activities by:

  • Developing and implementing a strategic plan that includes, but is not limited to, the burial, cremation and heritage activities of the Trust;
  • Protecting and enhancing the ethos, reputation and high standards of the Trust;
  • Developing and managing a viable fundraising programme in support of the Trust’s objectives; and
  • Growing the Trust's educational outreach programme, working with its academic partners across Ireland.

The Chief Executive Officer will have a demonstrable senior executive track record of delivering results in the commercial or charity sector.  Committed to the highest levels of corporate governance, they will have exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to operate at the highest levels of business, government and stakeholders.
