The Irish Times, Ireland’s leading independent, quality news publisher, is recruiting for the following role:
The person appointed will be responsible for developing and managing our online content sales for a range of digital subscriptions and products. S/he will manage the optimization of the digital sales funnel with the goals of increasing subscription sales and maximising the retention of existing subscribers. This is an opportunity to play a role in building a strong digital future for The Irish Times in a fast-moving digital media environment
The ideal candidate should have 2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar role within eCommerce or a business that has a highly trafficked website. Relevant knowledge of conversion rate optimisation and an understanding of both organic and paid search marketing tools and techniques are important. Proven experience reporting on paid online marketing activity with Google analytics and additional analytics packages will be a distinct advantage.
The successful candidate must have commercial acumen, with an understanding of return on investment. S/he must demonstrate initiative and have the capacity to contribute to the further development of the digital offering in The Irish Times.
The successful candidate will be a multi-tasker who is calm under pressure, has first class attention to detail, and an ability to work to deadlines.
