Rosslare Europort is the fourth largest port in Ireland in terms of overall tonnage handled, and the State’s second largest Ro-Ro traffic and passenger port. The port is operated as a division of Iarnród Éireann, who are the Port Authority for Rosslare Europort.

Following a strategic review of Rosslare Europort, Iarnród Éireann is committed to significantly invest in the development of the port over the next 10 years. We have identified opportunities for the port to make better use of available capacity,
improve efficiencies and grow revenue, while promoting the benefits of congestionfree access to both European and United Kingdom markets. It is anticipated that these benefits will be of even greater value in a post-Brexit environment.

Rosslare Europort now wishes to appoint a Business Development & Sales Manager to lead the commercial development of the port. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and implementation of business development, marketing and sales strategies in the areas of customer retention, new customer acquisition and profitable revenue growth.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience managing business development and sales within
    the supply chain, logistics and/or shipping industry.
  • Direct sales experience in dealing with mid-to-large sized corporate customers.
  • Successful proven track record of new business developments, identifying and
    converting opportunities, delivering revenue growth and increasing market share.
  • Experience in key account management.
  • Possess strong commercial awareness with ability to negotiate complex
    deals successfully.
  • Passionate about customer service.

The role is based at Rosslare Europort.
