Head of Communications
Offering support and services to 8,000 people every year, the National Council for the Blind Ireland (NCBI) are the national sight loss agency whose mission is to enable people who are blind or vision impaired to overcome the barriers that impede their independence and participation in society.
NCBI are now seeking to appoint a Head of Communications. The Head of Communications will present the organisations vision in a clear and effective manner to highlight the work and services of NCBI. As part of the senior management team, you will play a key role in contributing to the overall strategy and vision of the organisation.
The Head of Communications will report to the CEO and will be part of the Senior Management Team, supporting it and developing and maintaining relationships to promote the interests of NCBI. You will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of NCBI’s communication strategy across all outlets, greatly broadening awareness of the charity nationally.
Finally, your career will demonstrate significant experience in a senior communications or marketing role in either the not-for-profit or commercial sector. You are a highly motivated communications practitioner with a proven track record in delivering effective communications strategies and campaigns including a digital strategy.
