Senior Business Development Manager

Glanbia Ireland owns leading consumer and agri brands such as Avonmore, Kilmeaden Cheese, Premier Milk, Wexford, and GAIN Animal Nutrition. It processes a 2.6 billion litre milk pool from 21 counties and exports high quality dairy and agri ingredients as well as branded products to over 60 countries.

With annual revenue of €1.8 billion, Glanbia Ireland has 11 processing plants, 53 agri branches and over 1,800 employees. 

Reporting to the Head of Infant and Clinical Nutrition the successful applicant with be an enthusiastic self-starter that has a passion for building new opportunities and the capability to work as part of the team that is entrusted with driving growth across a diverse customer base in the Clinical and Infant Nutrition sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify new business opportunities for a range of existing and new products in the Clinical & Infant Nutrition sector.
  • Give direction to the NPD process through customer insights and bring new projects into the commercial pipeline.
  • Contribute to evolving strategic direction and the development of business cases for investment for new customer & new product opportunities.
  • Interact closely with R&D and product management functions to deliver the commercialisation of projects and innovations.
  • Build relationships with new customers and facilitate commercialisation of products through the management of internal stakeholders as new accounts are on boarded.
  • Identify openings for new market entry and align the business stakeholders to deliver on these opportunities.

Key Requirements:

  • Possess the drive and capability to identify and deliver new business opportunities aligned with the strategy and target market sectors.
  • Keen commercial acumen and understanding of cost models and value creation.
  • Proven understanding of customer requirements and ability to articulate these internally, guiding the business to deliver for the customer.
  • Evidence of excellent relationship management skills and the ability to influence people across an internal business network
  • Evidence that they are results driven, self-motivated and resourceful
  • Prior experience within the new business development space within Ingredients or Consumer Goods is an advantage.

Glanbia Ireland is a joint venture 60% owned by Glanbia Co-op and 40% owned by Glanbia plc. Established in July 2017, it combines Glanbia Ingredients Ireland, Glanbia Consumer Products and Glanbia Agribusiness.
