Voluntary Services Overseas (Ireland)
VSO prides itself in fighting poverty not by sending aid, but by working through volunteers to create long-lasting change in the some of the world’s poorest regions. By bringing the right people together VSO builds stronger, fairer and more inclusive communities, breaking the cycle of poverty and ensuring its impact lasts for generations to come. VSO Ireland forms part of the global VSO family that was founded in 1959 and has sent 76,000 volunteers on placements to date.
The work done by VSO Ireland would not be possible without its key partners, such as Irish Aid, Dóchas and Comhlámh, and its strong connection with the general public. Maintaining support and continued funding will enable VSO Ireland to develop and implement sustainable programmes that have a long-lasting impact. To maintain its relationship with key donors across VSO, VSO Ireland are seeking to appoint a Relationship Manager.
Reporting to the Global Donor Partnerships and Account Management Lead, the Relationship Manager will work closely with VSO International’s Global team and be responsible for leading the organisation’s relationship with Irish Aid. Key duties include: reporting on the performance of the VSO Irish Aid Volunteering Initiative and strengthening the relationship between VSO Ireland and the general public.
If you have successful institutional fundraising experience or high-level business development experience gained in a not-for-profit, public or private environment and would like to contribute to the VSO’s commitment to bringing people together to address marginalisation and poverty, then contact Michael Walsh in strictest confidence at firstname.lastname@example.org or call direct on +353-1-234-3131.
The closing date for applications is the 30th November 2018.
