The Organisation:

Established in 1977, GOAL is an international humanitarian agency dedicated to alleviating the suffering of the poor and the vulnerable and is currently operating in 12 countries world-wide. GOAL delivers a wide range of humanitarian and development programmes, ranging from humanitarian relief in disaster situations to supporting the development of healthcare services and building sustainable livelihoods. Since its foundation, GOAL has allocated more than €910 million to humanitarian programmes in over 50 countries. In 2017, GOAL’s programmes reached more than 5.3 million people worldwide through its work in 15 countries. To support its current comprehensive transformation and renewal processes, GOAL is seeking to appoint an accomplished individual to serve as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CFO is responsible for all aspects of the financial operations for the organization. The CFO provides accounting, budgetary, operational and programmatic support to all programs and activities. A key member of the Senior Management Team, the CFO will also help to develop and implement the agency’s vision and mission.

The Person:

This role offers an exciting opportunity for an outstanding candidate with excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. Whilst exceptional financial management experience will be a prerequisite for this role; the successful candidate will have leadership capability and demonstrable experience of leading a significant international financial operation. Previous experience in the non-profit sector, ideally in international relief and development, would be a distinct advantage.
