in Higher Education/Academic Practice
Applications are invited for appointment to this post in the University’s Centre for Excellence in Learning & Teaching (CELT). These are core professional development programmes aimed at academic staff and demand for places on the courses is high (as is the expectation for quality and demonstration of good practice in the delivery and assessment of the modules and programmes). The postholder will also support (and develop) other professional development initiatives, including workshops, consultation and advisory support, policy development, etc, as part of CELT’s core mission to promote and support high quality teaching and active student engagement with learning. The supervision of research students, applications for funding, academic collaboration, and appropriate scholarship are also key parts of the role. Applicants require to have appropriate qualifications and experience in higher education (including in aspects of academic staff development) and must be able to demonstrate credibility in such a role to their academic peers.
