Chief Operations Officer
The Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital is a voluntary acute specialist hospital and is the national tertiary centre for the treatment of Ophthalmic, Ear, Nose, Throat, Head and Neck disorders. Recognised as a University Teaching Hospital, it has a tradition of care stretching back to 1814 and has looked after patients on its present site since 1904.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following post:
CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER
Grade VIII €66K – €79K
This is a senior management post within the hospital. The COO will be accountable for the effective and efficient delivery of operational, facilities and clinical support services and will contribute to the strategic development of hospital services.
The successful candidate will report to the Chief Executive.
Candidates must have at the latest date of application:
- An appropriate 3rd level qualification (at least QQI Level 8 or equivalent) preferably in business, health services management or related area
- A minimum of five years’ experience in a senior management role in a healthcare environment
- Successful track record of planning and delivering major organisational change programmes
- Experience of clinical and/or corporate governance
