Chief Executive Officer
Trócaire envisages a just and peaceful world where people’s dignity is ensured and rights are respected; where basic needs are met and resources are shared equitably; where people have control over their own lives and those in power act for the common good.
Over the past four decades, underpinned by a rights-based approach, Trócaire has worked alongside local and church partners to protect and respond to the basic rights of those in need; to support the empowerment of the poor and excluded; to claim their rights, and to challenge the structural issues that maintain poverty and inequality by raising awareness of injustice in Ireland and beyond.
We are now seeking an outstanding new Chief Executive Officer to lead Trócaire’s future development. Working to deliver the organisation’s strategy, the Chief Executive Officer will lead and direct the organisation, ensuring excellence in all aspects of the organisation’s work, with best practice standards in all activities, including programme effectiveness, financial control, compliance, and risk management. You will be a proven and inspirational leader of complex and international organisations with a contemporary understanding of international development.
You will demonstrate strong strategic planning and influencing skills. You will bring excellent communication and advocacy skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across a complex stakeholder map and a strong commitment to the mission and values of Trócaire. If you possess the skills, experience and commitment to our mission and values, we look forward to hearing from you.
