Chief Executive Officer
The Institute of Public Health in Ireland (IPH) is a body supported and co-funded by the Departments of Health in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. IPH is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of communities across the island of Ireland through public health approaches and addressing health inequalities to ensure better health outcomes.
The role of the Chief Executive is to drive the development and implementation of IPH strategies and policies and to manage the staff and resources of IPH. It is to provide leadership and direction to IPH in advising on and supporting the development of public health policy, strengthening evidence based research and enhancing public health capacity with government departments North and South and others with key public health roles. The key accountabilities for the role range across strategy and planning, management of IPH, public relations and communications, corporate governance and financing.
