InsurTech Networking Centre DAC (Up to 3 years)


InsurTech Networking Centre DAC (INC) is a sector-specific enterprise development centre being established by Institute of Technology Carlow and funded through Enterprise Ireland Regional Enterprise Development Fund.

INC are looking for a Business Development Manager. This position is co-located in Institute of Technology Carlow and Wexford Campus, with a remit of overseeing InsurTech innovation activities and developing training, education and research programmes for the insurance sector. S/he will be responsible for supporting the innovation needs of our corporate partners, supporting the growth and acceleration of the InsurTech startups in our programme and managing the organisation and execution of the INC programme.

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced insurance professional  seeking to move their career into the FinTech/InsurTech space. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive background in insurance and be able to demonstrate knowledge of new technologies (i.e.: blockchain, cryptography, distributed ledger, ethereum).

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years industry experience in the insurance sector including programme management and delivery,  business development, project management and experience of early-stage startups.
