Day and residential services are provided to over 2,200 service users across nine centres in Dublin, Limerick and North Tipperary. The Service has undergone significant restructuring in recent years and this will continue in the coming years to meet changing policy direction. The opportunity has arisen due to the retirement of the current Chief Executive.

Key relationships are with the service users and their families, the Board, Health Service Executive at National and Regional levels and other organisations  representing the interests of service users and their families.

It is expected that applicants will have significant experience at Senior Management level with responsibility for service provision, staff and operational budgets of comparable complexity. Excellent interpersonal skills, energy, enthusiasm, a sense of vision, ability to implement organisational change, the generation of alternative ideas and a capacity and natural affinity to managing sensitive situations as they arise are key requirements of the role.

A commitment to the mission and core values of the Daughters of Charity and to the rights of individuals with an intellectual disability is essential.
