Merchants Quay Ireland (MQI) is a national voluntary organisation that helps people who are homeless and caught in addiction. The organisation provides a range of services including frontline services, practical supports, pathways towards recovery and innovative responses to the issues of drug use and homelessness in Ireland. MQI is currently based in 19 locations across 12 counties in Ireland and the organisation has ambitions to increase its scale and presence nationwide. In 2016 MQI’s total income was €10.9 million.  

To aid in the delivery of services, MQI are seeking to appoint a Day Services’ Manger to take operational responsibility for service(s) within Day Services Countrywide. This will involve working with the Head of Day Services to ensure that the services fully meet the stakeholder requirements.

Manager – Day Services

Reporting to the Head of Day Services, the Day Services’ Manager will be responsible for ensuring that services by MQI are done to the expected quality standard within the agreed administrative and financial frameworks. Some of the role’s major tasks will include: ensuring adherence to all Health and Safety policies and procedures, leading the implementation of new services, providing support and direction to members of staff, and resolving operational issues as they arise.

MQI are seeking an experienced manager and leader who can co-ordinate services in line with MQI guidelines and ethos. The ideal candidate will have prior managerial experience in addiction, health and/or social care.
