Our client is a leading member owned financial institution based in Dublin city centre. They have over 14,000 members and assets in excess of €200 million.


The Board now wish to appoint a CEO with the energy and vision to lead the business in the execution of its ambitious strategic plan. This will be an exciting opportunity for the successful applicant to effect real change with a business that has a record of high achievement. This will include leading and implementing a programme of transformation along with facilitating the growth of business through new and existing markets.


Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Review and execute the strategic plan for the business
  • Effective management, development and motivation of the team
  • Ensure full compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements including the areas of risk, data protection, money laundering, employment law and health and safety
  • Review the current systems, processes and IT infrastructure in order to leverage IT to implement best in class solutions to drive efficiencies and increase customer experience 
  • Ensure high quality internal controls to safeguard the assets of the members
  • Develop and refine an Executive Dashboard that will be presented to the Board monthly
  • Oversee performance to maximise the financial return and service to members
  • Accurate presentation & reporting of financial accounts to the Board
  • Develops the ICT sector through marketing and business development initiatives in order to increase member acquisition
  • Assist the Board in formulating and reviewing policies for all aspects of the business
  • Lead the planning, implementation and creative development of all marketing and growth strategies
  • Develops and presents to the board annual budgets for sign off
  • Devise, and manage targets and performance standards for all the team
  • Hits and exceeds personal performance KPI’s as agreed by the Board
  • Manages and fosters all third party relationships with consultants, regulators and advisors
  • Support the Board of Directors in all aspects of their Governance role
  • Ad hoc projects


  • Appropriate third level degree, masters or professional qualification
  • Previous experience working in financial services or other related highly regulated entities at a senior level
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with the ability to understand and present complex financial information
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully with Boards
  • Previously implemented IT transformation and change
  • A vision to increase and improve member acquisition and services through innovation
  • Strong leadership and management experience in previous roles
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills
  • Resilient and confident manner
  • Ownership - takes responsibility for own and team performance
  • Positive can-do attitude with strong ethical values
