Ireland's leading children’s charity is recruiting:
Having presided over a long period of sustained growth in services and in the profile of the organisation, the Chief Executive will retire later this year. This is an important milestone and the Board wishes to find someone who will consolidate what has been achieved up to now and take Barnardos forward to the next stage of its development.
Barnardos was established in 1962. We work with vulnerable children and their families in Ireland and campaign for the rights of all children. Barnardos is Ireland’s leading charity providing services to children and families and we collaborate closely with Tusla, the HSE and other state and community and voluntary agencies.
The person we are seeking for the role of CEO will have a proven track record in a leadership position. S/He will be expected to be capable of representing Barnardos in the public sphere and to demonstrate the capacity for strategic management and thinking. Experience in an area related to children and families is desirable. The most important requirement is to empathise with the values, vision and mission of Barnardos.
The Chief Executive reports to the Board.
