NUI Galway has grown substantively in size and reputation over the past 170 years and has been transformed in the past decade. By many measures – citations, research income, student recruitment, and capital investment – our growth has been remarkable.
We continue to face the future with ambition. In particular, we aim to further enhance our international reputation and reach, contributing through our research and teaching in the world and for the world: our students compete with the best and so must we. To this end, we have outlined key priorities for Research and Innovation, for Teaching and Learning, for greater Internationalisation, and through commitments to the many communities we serve, in the world and for the world.
The University now wishes to appoint a Chief Financial Officer/Bursar who will play a pivotal role in the future of the university. The Bursar’s Office has prime responsibility for the formulation and delivery of financial performance and leadership of a number of core business systems and processes. The Bursar/Chief Financial Officer will report to the President, and is a Member of the University’s Management Team.
The successful candidate will be a committed and highly skilled Bursar/Chief Financial Officer who will lead the finance function, research support, and work collaboratively as a member of the University Management Team to advise and inform strategy and operations across the institution.
