Accreate has been retained by Red Hat in order to source an experienced Senior Director Regional Tax to oversee and lead tax planning and tax compliance for the organisation’s rapidly expanding EMEA region. Due to continued international growth, Red Hat is a multinational software company at the cutting edge of providing open-source software products to the enterprise community. This dynamic, US headquartered multinational with significant operations in Cork is continuing to expand it's business here.

Reporting to the Global VP Tax (based in the US), the successful candidate will assume responsibility for regional tax strategy, tax compliance, tax controversy management, development of the regional tax department, tax accounting and liaising with colleagues across the business to minimise tax risk and manage growth.

This is a newly created role which will provide an unrivalled opportunity for an ambitious Tax Leader to progress their career. The Senior Director Regional Tax EMEA will manage and mentor a tax team and will have a close working relationship with global tax and finance counterparts.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing an EMEA regional Tax function within a dynamic growing MNC. Multi-jurisdictional tax exposure is a prerequisite, with a particular focus on group tax provisioning, compliance, transfer pricing, tax audits and tax controversy. Demonstrable experience in tax accounting under the provisions of ASC 740 (tax accounting under US GAAP) and tax reserves under FIN 48 is essential. Applicants must be qualified Tax Consultants (CTA or similar) with an accounting/legal qualification as well as a third level degree in Business/Finance/Law or a related discipline.  They should also have excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. Experience working in a ‘Big 4’ Tax department would be advantageous. The new incumbent must be willing to travel internationally as required.
