Lecturer Above the Bar, Intern Education
Applications are invited for a fixed-term appointment as Lecturer Above the Bar, Intern Education at NUI Galway.
The primary purpose of this post is to provide teaching and programme development leadership on the intern programme at NUI Galway. The post holder will also be expected to provide intern teaching and research activities carried out through the medical simulation centre.
The intern lecturer has responsibility for the interns in NUI Galway as they complete their 12 month internship and for the delivery of the education and training programme. The School of Medicine is responsible for intern education and training. The training requirements and responsibilities are outlined in a service level agreement that exists between the Health Service Executive National Doctors Training and Planning division (HSE NDTP) and the School of Medicine NUI Galway.
The post holder will coordinate, deliver and run the intern education and training programme as per the SLA. In addition, they will contribute to education grants awarded to the school of medicine for intern education and training.
