daa turnover in 2016 was €793 million, up 17% on 2015, and driven by growing passenger numbers, improved commercial income, and the impact of new overseas businesses. 2016 EBITDA was €247 million and profit after tax €108 million.

The Group employs 3,600 people directly and has a further 3,200 people working for its international businesses and joint ventures. Growth is planned to continue through major initiatives such as the new North Runway and property development at Dublin Airport, further international expansion of the retail business, and growth in airport management and advisory services.

Candidate Profile & Role

The air transport sector is dynamic, fast-moving and constantly changing; so is daa, who are seeking a Chief People Officer who can help lead that change and shape the culture of the organisation. This role provides an unrivalled opportunity to provide people leadership in an organisation that is critically important to Ireland. daa is seeking an outstanding business leader who is influential and can build relationships at all levels in the company – from the Board and executive team to its diverse staff in Ireland and overseas.

The CPO will be someone who understands how to systemically change the organisation and culture. S/he will be equally comfortable architecting strategies and leading execution. S/he will have a deep understanding of employee engagement and how to meet business objectives by developing talent.

Reporting to the Chief Executive and as a critical member of the executive team, the CPO will lead the HR function and shape the people strategy for the Group.
