Shared services is a key element of the Government’s Public Service Reform Plan to enhance service delivery, decision-making effectiveness and drive better value for money. The National Shared Services Office (NSSO) was established to lead the transformation of HR, payroll and pension administration, and financial management through shared services across the Civil Service, and to support the expansion of shared services in the Irish Public Service. It has two centres providing HR, pensions and payroll administration to over 100,000 public servants from across 40 public
service bodies. A programme to integrate these centres has begun and a new Finance Shared Service Centre will begin operations in 2018. The NSSO will be established as a separate shared services office for the Civil Service shortly.

We currently have an opportunity for the following senior role.

Head of Human Resources and Organisational Development

The Head of HR and OD will develop an overall workforce strategy and manage the roll-out of all aspects of strategic HR for the NSSO, placing a strong focus on learning and development; change management; equality and diversity balance; cultural change and the development of strategic HR policies as a key member of the NSSO Executive Management team.

The closing date for receipt of applications is 3:00pm on Thursday, 27 July 2017.
