Lecturer Above the Bar, Cellular, Manufacturing and Therapy
Applications are invited for the position of Lecturer Above the Bar, Cellular, Manufacturing and Therapy.
The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. in a biological science subject and have relevant postdoctoral research experience. The applicant should have extensive experience of working in/collaborating with industrial partners and/or regulatory agencies as well as interacting with clinicians.
The applicant should have an accomplished research track record including applying for and obtaining funding, senior author publications and supervising postgraduate research students.
Applicants should have experience of teaching and assessing postgraduate and undergraduate students. They should have a demonstrated record of designing and developing a postgraduate curriculum and new modules. Applicants must have experience of supervising and assessing postgraduate and undergraduate research projects. It would be desirable if the applicant had a qualification or training related to teaching practise at University level. Experience of working in multidisciplinary teams of with clinicians and industrial representatives would be beneficial.
In addition to developing, organising and delivering this new course and the associated modules the appointee will be responsible for marketing the course and recruiting qualified applicants as well as managing the course budget. The successful applicant will deliver content related to cellular manufacturing and stem cell therapy as well as supervising student research projects. The candidate should also be willing to participate in the development of strategies to enhance postgraduate education in the School of Medicine. It would be beneficial if the candidate can demonstrate experience of managing collaborative projects and budget management.
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake teaching for relevant courses at the direction of the Head of School.
