Dublin and Cork airports are the two largest airports in the Republic of Ireland, welcoming a combined 30.1 million passengers in 2016. ARI is a leading international travel retailer, with operations in 10 countries and also holds the Group’s 20% stake in Düsseldorf Airport. daa International is an airport management and aviation advisory services business.

daa turnover in 2016 was €793 million, up 17% on 2015, and driven by growing passenger numbers, improved commercial income, and the impact of new overseas businesses. daa earnings in 2016 were EBITDA €247 million and profit after tax €108 million. The Group employs 3,300 people at its Irish airports and has a further 3,200 people working for its international businesses and joint ventures.

The Board of the daa wishes to recruit a new Chief Executive to lead the company through the next phase of its development, which includes the new North Runway at Dublin Airport.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale, commercial enterprise(s) that have an international dimension, a requirement for high levels of customer service and sustained infrastructural investment. 

As Chief Executive he/she will be accountable to the Board for managing, operating and developing the company.

The candidate will have the leadership skills to build a positive culture/environment, guide the executive team and to inspire and motivate the staff of the daa to deliver the company’s strategic plan for the benefit of all its stakeholders.

The candidate must be able to operate effectively within a highly-regulated business environment and commit to high standards of transparency and accountability.
