Chief Executive Officer
This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to lead the SEAi through a period of growth and transformation and to contribute to Ireland's Climate Action and Decarbonisation goals.
The SEAi's central role, working collaboratively with communities, industry and public bodies, is to bring about a low carbon economy through measures and programmes focused on the transition to a smarter and more sustainable energy future. In further enhancement of this role, the SEAi will be the key organisation in the implementation of the national retrofitting initiative, as part of the ambitious climate change objectives outlined in the Programme for Government. The SEAi has been given the additional resources to fulfil this role.
The SEAi seeks applications from high-calibre individuals for the position of Chief Executive Officer. The Chief Executive Officer will be responsible for the leadership and management of the SEAi through a truly transformational phase, and for leading and managing the programmes required to deliver on Ireland's ambitious decarbonisation targets. The role involves oversight of an annual budget of more than €330 million and a direct workforce expected to grow to more than 230 employees.
The successful candidate must be a proven effective leader with demonstrable experience of leading a complex organisation through significant change. They must have the strong strategic abilities and experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams in a rapidly changing environment to deliver on organisational goals and targets. The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of, a passion for and strong dedication to climate action and the sustainable energy agenda with the ability to inspire action and commitment.
