  • To partner with the General Manager and Chairman of Finance Committee to achieve the overall business objectives in the short, medium and long term through a focus on financial processes across the business to include: 
  • Overseeing and improving the accounting function
  • Budget review and control
  • Cash Flow management
  • Contracts oversight
  • Capital asset control


Fixed Term - 1 Year.

20 Hours per Week (flexible with days)




  • Monitor and report on performance against budget
  • Manage cash flow including forecasting
  • Prepare additional financial reports as required
  • Oversight of Annual Audit
  • Preparation of Annual Budget with appropriate input as required
  • Oversight of payroll and pension in conjunction with HR Manager
  • Lead, motivate and supervise Finance staff member

Internal Controls and Processes:

  • Review internal controls and revise as required on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure all processes are adequately documented and updated as necessary


  • Oversight of Insurance
  • Manage relationship with Bank
  • Oversight of Contracts Register
  • Work with the General Manager on the oversight of the Risk Register
  • Oversight of Website payment portal
  • Support Management Board and Committees as required
  • Support Golf and Tennis Clubs as required



  • Qualified Accountant with a minimum 5 years’ experience
  • Experience of producing regular management accounts using an accounting package.
  • Experience with Sage desirable but not critical
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience in the hotel or restaurant sector an advantage.
  • Staff management experience
  • Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of internal controls.
  • Experience reviewing and documenting processes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and demands in a professional, accurate and timely manner
  • Highly analytical with high levels of attention to detail
  • Flexible and willing to work additional hours as required from time to time
  • Possess the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality at all times
