Management Position

COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING MANAGER

The Communications and Marketing Manager, under the direction of the Senior Executive Team of the Institute, will set and guide all marketing, digital communications and public affairs strategies for Institute of Technology Carlow. S/he will be responsible for planning and managing all communications messaging and activities, and building relationships with stakeholders. The Communications manager will oversee the implementation of a communications strategy that presents a consistent and accurate message to relevant stakeholders.

Successful applicants must have a Level 8 Honours degree, or equivalent, in communications, PR, journalism or marketing and a proven track record of at least five years in communications management in a similar role, including experience of planning and working on integrated communications campaigns. A Level 9 Masters degree, or equivalent, in communications, PR, journalism or marketing and experience in a higher education environment are highly desirable.

Salary scales include an increase of 2% as applicable from 1st October 2020 to whole time annual basic salaries as per the terms of the Public Service Stability Agreement 2018 – 2020.
