The Probation Service is an agency of the Department of Justice and Equality

It delivers services to contribute to public safety, improve communities and support offenders to change. The Service provides a range of specialist supports to both adult and young offenders.  It also provides a probation service to prisons and places of detention to rehabilitate offenders and facilitate prisoner re-integration. 

The Psychologist Grade I will be responsible for the delivery of professional Psychology Services including specialist psychological assessment, intervention and case management input and contribute to the ongoing development of Probation Service delivery.

The successful candidates will have a 1st or 2nd class honours degree (Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications) in which Psychology was a major subject and a professional post-graduate qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology as well as two years postgraduate experience in professional clinical or counselling psychology
