The role of company secretary is a senior role which is key to ensuring that the highest governance standards are being applied at all times across the organisation. The successful candidate will ensure that communications between the Boards, Committees and the organisation operate effectively and to the highest standards and that all applicable governance requirements are met.
Excellent communication and organisational skills are required as the role involves regular interaction with Board and Committee members and with senior executives within the organisation to ensure members are fully informed of legal and corporate governance responsibilities and full compliance with statutory regulations is maintained.
The Company Secretary will attend all board meetings and complete all associated drafting of notices, agendas, minutes and filings. The successful candidate will have excellent time management and an ability to prioritise workload and deal with changing deadlines.
Member of the ICSA (Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators)—essential
Minimum 4 years relevant experience specifically in-house experience (desirable)
Understanding and experience of the Not-for-Profit sector (desirable).
