The Faculty of Engineering, Mathematics and Science (FEMS) wish to recruit a Faculty Administrator to join their team. This is one of three Faculty Administrator posts in Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin. The primary reporting line is to the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mathematics and Science with whom the Faculty Administrator works closely. There is an administrative reporting line to the Academic Secretary.
The primary role of the Faculty Administrator is to support the Dean who has full devolved accountability for the leadership, management and strategic mission of the Faculty and the Faculty Administrator works with the Dean to implement the College’s Strategic Plan.
The Faculty Administrator works closely with the Faculty HR Partner and Faculty Finance Partner in the management and delivery of the academic administrative supports to the Dean within the Faculty. The Faculty Administrator manages and implements the processes and policies that are already in place and identifies opportunities for improvements in a dynamic and multi-disciplinary environment.
They ensure that the Faculty delivers its administrative functions in an informed, efficient and professional manner with the aim of developing positive relationships and promoting excellence.
The Faculty Administrator works alongside the Managers of the Academic Units (Schools and Research Institutes) and the other Faculty Administrators to implement College strategy and to develop and maintain excellent working relationships and interfaces of the highest quality between the Faculty, the Academic Units and the College. This involves collaborative engagement with the Science Course Office and the HR and Finance Partners of the Faculty, with a view to seeking advice and providing support on matters relevant to these areas.
This is a varied and challenging role that demands project management, discretion, attention to detail, data analysis and excellent computer, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
Appointment will be made on the Administrative Officer 1 (Schedule B) scale below the bar [€57,326 - €73,917] at a point in line with Government Pay Policy.
