Misean Cara is a faith-based international development and humanitarian not-for-profit organisation that consists of 91 missionary member organisations who are committed to working with and for some of the most marginalised and vulnerable communities in the world. With a long-term presence in more than 50 countries in the Global South region, our member organisations deliver high quality project results in the areas of education, health, sustainable livelihoods, human rights and humanitarian intervention.
Based in Dublin, Ireland, the CEO will bring vision and leadership to the realisation of Misean Cara’s mission and strategic objectives. With overall responsibility for the development and delivery of the organisation’s Strategy, the CEO will ensure consistent excellence in all aspects of Misean Cara’s activities, including operational performance. The CEO will also be responsible for the acquisition of funding and its distribution to member organisations, financial control and risk management, communications and the management of key stakeholder relationships.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated skills and success in the areas of executive leadership, strategic planning, operational management, relationship management, transformation and risk management. Qualified to at least Degree level or equivalent, the appointee will be a creative, dynamic, resourceful and resilient individual with excellent communications and influencing skills. Strong empathy with the mission and values of the Misean Cara organisation is required.
