Community Fundraising Manager
Since 1963 the Irish Cancer Society has grown into the national charity for cancer care in Ireland and the leading provider of all information relating to cancer prevention, detection, treatment and support. It also advocates for improvements in cancer services and it is the largest voluntary funder of cutting edge cancer research in Ireland.
They are now seeking a driven, passionate Community Fundraising Manager to join their team.
The Community Fundraising Manager will deliver fundraising growth through the implementation of the national Community fundraising and Relay for Life (RFL) strategy. The successful candidate will increase income opportunities from RFL and other events, campaigns and products by building effective relationships with community supporters and volunteers and by supporting the community fundraising and RFL team.
Other responsibilities include:
- Leading on key projects
- Providing excellent management support, leadership and mentoring to your team of 5 Community Fundraisers and a Relay for Life Fundraiser
- Proactively seek out fundraising opportunities to drive and increase income
We are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of managing fundraising teams, driving them to achieve, and exceed, income targets.
This is a great opportunity to develop your skills in a senior fundraising role whilst adding direct value to incredible work that the Irish Cancer Society does. The ideal candidate will have experience of managing people to deliver against KPIs, a strong community fundraising background including experience of supporter led income and substantial experience of forming, nurturing and maintaining relationships within local communities.
