Personal Professor in Antimicrobial Resistance and One Health, Full Time, Fixed Term
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a fixed term appointment as Personal Professor in Antimicrobial Resistance. The purpose of this post is to support the Head of the Discipline of Bacteriology in the delivery of microbiology teaching to undergraduate medical students, course organisation and assessment of students’ competence and build on existing capacity for basic and applied laboratory research on antimicrobial resistance within the School of Medicine. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Bacteriology, have a scholarly track record in Medical Microbiology with a specific focus on basic and applied laboratory research on antimicrobial resistance and One Health research, and have +5 years experience of teaching and supervising undergraduate medical students. In addition they will require an excellent knowledge of the clinical application of antimicrobial resistance research to relevant departments within the clinical service.
