Reporting to the Head of Subscriptions and Reader Insights, this role is responsible for carrying out research and delivering insights about The Irish Times audience of readers and subscribers, and the wider market. This is a busy and wide-ranging role that requires the ability to go beyond data gathering and analysis to highlight opportunities from customer trends and to clearly communicate the findings.
The person appointed will drive the research requirements for The Irish Times, gathering, analysing and interpreting research data to provide insights on readership and consumer behaviour. S/he will conduct research and user testing through focus groups and online survey tools and use internal and external market and user research to assist in the response to advertising briefs.
The successful candidate should have a proven track record in a research role, using both qualitative and quantitative methods and be proficient in Microsoft Office software. S/he will demonstrate excellent communication and presentation skills, strong attention-to-detail and organisational skills. The person appointed will be data-driven in a research context and have experience using survey data tools. An interest and passion for The Irish Times brand and the media industry is important.
