Operating across locations in Carlow, Wexford, Wicklow and Dublin the Institute has over 9,000 learners and staff with a significant international learner cohort. We offer a broad range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Science, Engineering, Business, Humanities and Computing. Key research strengths include Computer Games Development, Bio-Environmental Technologies, Product Design, Social Sciences, Sport Science & Health and Engineering Technologies.

We are seeking highly motivated, talented and ambitious individuals to join our team in delivering the Technological University of South East Ireland.

The role of Head of Learner Support and Student Services is central to the Institute’s mission to provide effective personal, health, social and academic-related supports and services to a diverse population of almost 8,500 full-time and lifelong learning students. It also aims to provide, through the implementation of the principles of equality, diversion and inclusion, significant leadership and support for the development of effective partnerships with the regional community, to ensure successful pathways into the Institute for all under-represented groups of learners. Student Services provides a significant supporting role for learners’ personal and academic development through its links with the Institute’s Teaching and Learning Centre and the academic departments/Centres.

Successful applicants must have a relevant Honours degree (first or second class) or equivalent and at least 3 years relevant postgraduate experience in this or in a closely related area of activity. A higher qualification (Masters or PhD) or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable.

The Institute is committed to the implementation of the recommendations of the Expert Group on Gender Equality in Irish Higher Education Institutions (HEA June 2016) and the Gender Action Plan 2018-2020 (Report of the Gender Equality Taskforce, 2018).
