Operating across locations in Carlow, Wexford, Wicklow and Dublin the Institute has over 9,000 learners and staff with a significant international learner cohort. Key research strengths include Computer Games Development, Bio-Environmental Technologies, Product Design, Social Sciences, Sport Science & Health and Engineering Technologies.

We are seeking highly motivated, talented and ambitious individuals to join our team in delivering the Technological University of South East Ireland.

DIRECTOR OF SPORT

The Institute’s reputation for excellence in sport is not only for high performance by elite athletes but for a culture and philosophy of participation by all students to promote health and wellbeing. This culture is underpinned by world class facilities as well as a broad range of sports related academic programmes and research. The Institute is seeking an individual who possesses outstanding interpersonal skills, organisational abilities, vision and leadership to lead, direct and manage the sporting activities and development of related resources and facilities on a strategic and operational level.

Successful applicants must have a relevant Honours degree (first or second class) or equivalent. A higher qualification (Masters or PhD) or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable. You will also have at least five years relevant postgraduate experience.

The Institute is committed to the implementation of the recommendations of the Expert Group on Gender Equality in Irish Higher Education Institutions (HEA June 2016) and the Gender Action Plan 2018-2020 (Report of the Gender Equality Taskforce, 2018).
