St. Michael’s House supports men, women, and children with intellectual disabilities in 170 locations in Navan, Meath and the greater Dublin area. Supporting 1,900 people, St. Michael’s House has empowered people with intellectual disabilities to live more independently. Chief Executive Officer

Reporting to the Board of Directors, and supported by the Senior Management Team, the incoming CEO will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of St. Michael’s House.  They will have a strong understanding of leading and managing an organisation of similar scale to St. Michael’s House, as well as a proven ability to make the required step-change in developing a more self-aware organisation that can overcome various organisational challenges.

They will be strategic and data-driven in their approach, with an ability to develop and implement the organisation’s strategy as well as teach other how to make this strategy happen, within the challenges of the existing financial environment.

Stakeholder management and communication will be a crucial skill, most notably with external funders such as the HSE, as well as working in a consultative manner with all staff, maintaining and developing their skills.

A strong track record of service configuration and management control, including knowledge of person-centred planning and service user individualisation will be important, as well as planning for changes to the service user demographic.
