Corporate Risk Manager
TII is responsible for managing and improving the country’s national road and light rail networks. The annual expenditure of TII is in the order of €1 billion. TII is committed to implementing best practice governance, accountability and risk management standards appropriate to this mandate.
In support of this commitment, TII wishes to appoint a Corporate Risk Manager who will contribute to the successful achievement of TII’s strategic objectives through the development and implementation of effective corporate risk management policies, procedures, and systems. The Corporate Risk Manager also supports TII projects and programmes in the development of appropriate risk management plans and processes as required.
The Corporate Risk Manager also acts as contract manager for TII’s insurance brokerage and advisory services contract as well as co-ordinating the management of claims.
The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate the key competencies for Assistant Principal position as identified in the Competency Directory on the HR section of the intranet, as well as the following job-specific requirements:
- Degree or 3rd level professional qualification (HETAC Level 8 or higher) in engineering, business, accounting, management, legal, administration or other relevant discipline.
- 7 years minimum experience in a responsible position to include at least 2 years’ experience in a risk management role.
- Understanding of corporate governance, risk management processes and procedures, and assurance frameworks for compliance with regulatory requirements.
