Senior Lecturer (Speech and Language Therapy)
Applications are invited for an appointment as Senior Lecturer, Speech and Language Therapy, 0.4 FTE (fixed-term) at NUI Galway.
The University now wishes to recruit an outstanding individual to a 0.4 FTE fixed-term Senior Lecturer position in the Discipline of Speech and Language Therapy, which is part of the School of Health Sciences, which is is one of three Schools in the College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences. The College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences has over 1,000 students including medical students, nursing and midwifery students, podiatric medicine and occupational therapy students, offering excellent opportunities for interdisciplinary teaching and research. The successful candidate will actively contribute to the University’s strategic vision, and will participate in research, teaching, research supervision, and programme administration across a portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
The new appointee will be expected to undertake a leadership role in the Discipline of Speech and Language Therapy. The successful candidate will lead the strategic development of the Discipline with regard to teaching, research, and contribution to the community. The successful candidate will be required to contribute to teaching on our portfolio of undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes, as well as participating in programme administration, programme promotion, and outreach activities. There is an opportunity for the new appointee to influence the future research and teaching agendas of the Discipline of the Speech and Language Therapy and School of Health Sciences.
