St. Andrew’s College was founded in 1894 and is an international, co-educational, inter-denominational school, governed by a Board of Patrons under the auspices of the Presbyterian Church in Ireland.  The College offers a high-quality, wide-ranging, liberal education in its Junior and Secondary Schools, inspired by Christian principles and enabled by an inclusive Protestant ethos.

Since 1984, the College has been accredited by both the Council of International Schools and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, and has a school community of over 1,400 students, teachers and support staff, drawn from Ireland and 40 other countries, on its Booterstown campus. In addition to preparing students for State Examinations, St. Andrew’s College also offers students the opportunity to follow the International Baccalaureate programme in the Secondary School.

The Patrons are seeking to appoint an inspiring, highly-motivated and dynamic individual to join the Senior Management Team as Chief Financial Officer and Head of Operations (CFO).  The role holder will primarily manage all compliance, commercial and business matters and will have the vision and skills to assist in the future development of the College.

Reporting to the Headmistress and the Governing Body, the CFO will lead and manage the College’s Finance Function, and will be responsible for financial resources, including Budget and Debt Management, as well as Estate and Buildings; Purchasing; Health and Safety; Security; Human Resources and Information Technology.  The CFO will undertake all Company Secretarial duties for the College and the Board of Management. 

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with at least 10 years’ industry experience and should have an interest in Education.  He or she will have proven leadership ability and be a strategic thinker. 

The candidate will also have operational experience, as well as good communication, presentation and people skills.  The desired commencement date is early August 2019, to allow for a three-month transition period alongside the current role holder, who will retire at the end of October 2019.

The role is full-time and permanent. A competitive remuneration package, commensurate with experience, will apply.
