Director, Public Affairs
As a valued member of the leadership team, the Director Public Affairs is responsible for leading the Public Affairs portfolio and lead consultation with key clients.As a key strategic adviser, this role will work with clients in building their profile and awareness amongst key industry, political government stakeholders. The incumbent will drive and advise on clients’ public affairs outreach programs based on policy and political insight whilst continuing to manage some very established and collaborative relationships across their client network. He/she will understand the complexities facing ‘the client’ as well as the broader economy backdrop and have the ability to build on the already established strategies for the existing client network.
Reporting to the Managing Director, this position will play a leading role in advising strategic accounts across the broader business, yet also generate new business and continue to grow the Public Affairs portfolio. The incumbent will be commercially astute and see the value of being part of a broader global business.
Tertiary qualified and a Communications expert, you will present with extensive experience working within Government and political parties or within the Public Affairs industry, either with an agency or in-house. You arrive with general knowledge of policy issues relevant to highly regulated industries. You imbue integrity and authority and naturally instil credibility and confidence with all stakeholders (clients, government stakeholders and industry bodies).
