Applications are invited for the role of Finance Manager in The Irish Times.

This is a senior role within the Finance Team reporting directly to the
Group Financial Controller.

The successful candidate will be a Senior Qualified Accountant with a strong academic record and good exposure to audit. They will also possess strong group consolidation experience, excellent inter-personal and presentation skills and a proven background in financial management. Exposure to reconciliation and reporting of multiple digital revenue streams would be a distinct advantage. 

The role involves preparation of monthly management and statutory accounts including group consolidation. A key part of the role is the preparation and review of timely and accurate reports of financial performance for key business units including development of the framework for reporting of KPIs. The role holder will work very closely with business owners as a finance partner in the operational management of their units. Experience in budgetary planning and corporation tax returns is an essential requirement.

Qualification and Experience

  • A professional accountancy qualification – ACA, ACCA or CIMA – and degree qualified.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ senior management experience.
