SOLAS is the Further Education and Training Authority in Ireland tasked with ensuring the provision of 21st Century programmes within the Further Education and Training Sector that are responsive to the needs of learners and the requirements of a changed and changing economy. Its mission is to fund, plan and co-ordinate a range of further education and training that supports this vision.
Director Organisational Development and Support
Reporting directly to the Assistant Chief Executive Officer - Resources, the Director of Organisational Development and Support provides strategic leadership, advice and support aimed at building organisational cohesion, flexibility and compliance. The successful candidate will lead SOLAS in
establishing and sustaining organisational effectiveness by ensuring that SOLAS has an appropriate, highly skilled and high performing workforce, as well as the development and implementation of risk management, information governance, pensions, internal audit and legal services.
Persons appointed will have a demonstrative flair for leading developments within an evolving organisation and will have a significant and relevant record of achievement at senior management level. The ideal candidates will have excellent oral and written communication skills and will demonstrate
energy, creativity, strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams. They will lead by example and will adopt a management style that is inclusive, enabling and which facilitates the development of constructive relationships with stakeholders, both internally and externally.

The salary scale for these senior level posts are equivalent to that of Principal Officer in the Civil Service.
