Beaumont Hospital, North Dublin’s 820 bed, academic teaching hospital, requires a Chief Operations Officer. The hospital’s 3,000 staff members are committed to providing “the right care, in the right place, at the right time”. Beaumont is the lead Level 4 hospital in the RCSI Hospitals Group. The hospital serves approximately 300,000 in the Dublin North/North East Region.

Beaumont is a Centre of Excellence for Cancer Care, the National Centre for Cochlear Implantations, the National Centre for Neurosurgery and the National Centre for Kidney transplantation.

The hospital requires a Chief Operations Officer to lead an experienced and dedicated team to deliver, develop and transform the existing high quality services. Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will focus on transforming services, maximising resources and developing sustainable models of service provision, creating an environment to deliver positive outcomes for service users and best value for money.

As COO, your substantial senior management and leadership experience will allow you to tackle significant day-to-day operational challenges as well as engage in long-term strategic planning. As a board level member, your strong personal motivation and drive will deliver change.

Outstanding people management and communication skills are crucial as you will be liaising with a variety of stakeholders and leading change in a complex and dynamic environment. You will demonstrate personal commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement of the patient experience.
