The School of Education at NUI Galway is seeking to appoint an outstanding academic as a Senior Lecturer to make a significant contribution to the field of Psychology of Education. Candidates should be at the forefront of their field, and will be expected to play a significant role in the development and delivery of the School’s research strategy. In line with the developing needs of the School, candidates will be expected to contribute to the design and teaching of all programmes; including our main teacher education programmes and the Graduate Diploma in Special Educational Needs. We are therefore looking for recent and relevant experience, specifically in the areas of postgraduate teaching and leadership.
Candidates should have an excellent track record of national and international publications, including research grant success in order to make a leading contribution to the intellectual research culture of the School, College and University. It is necessary for candidates to be an experienced doctoral supervisor, with a demonstrated capacity to supervise doctoral candidates to completion. We welcome applicants who have interests in quantitative research methodologies to complement the existing research strengths in the School.
