Bord Bia, the state agency committed to the success of Irish food, drink and horticulture, is looking to fill the position of Director, Food & Beverages Division to help drive this journey. Successful candidates – building on previous records of achievement at senior executive level – will lead and develop programmes that deliver sustainable growth to Ireland’s largest indigenous industry.
Director, Food and Beverages
Reporting to the Chief Executive, this position plays a pivotal role in leading the development of Bord Bia strategy for all sectors of the Food and Beverages Division. Aligned with the organisations strategic pillars and in partnership with industry stakeholders, the Director will oversee the implementation of the strategy, the programmes that enhance industry competitiveness and build on Ireland’s reputation as a supplier of sustainably produced world-class food and beverages. The Director will be a member of the Senior Management Team.
With an operational agenda focused on optimising the resources of the Division, the Director will identify and develop programmes, that deliver clear commercial benefit to Bord Bia clients, work closely with the markets division during challenging times such as Brexit and advance a range of high-profile initiatives for the industry.
The ideal candidate will have:
5+ years’ experience operating at senior level in a marketing role
Proven management experience operating in international markets
Experience developing and implementing marketing strategy
Proven leadership ability and people management experience
Sector relevant marketing experience, e.g. food, drink, horticulture, meat
Degree level qualification in relevant discipline
Membership of relevant professional bodies
