The College of Arts and Tourism at Dublin Institute of Technology (DIT) nurtures innovation and creativity across and between its six Schools and academic disciplines. The College is committed to the development of knowledge that benefits society by providing a range of unique and innovative programmes in a modular format including higher certificate,
undergraduate and Masters degrees, and doctoral research. There are over 5,000 students in the College.

The schools in the College of Arts and Tourism have led development in communications, creative digital media, design, journalism, tourism, culinary arts, drama, fine art, languages, law, social sciences and music. Professional practice has always been at its core, with research and
scholarly activity playing a key role, including hosting the Graduate School for Creative Arts and Media (GradCAM).  There is a vibrant policy for professional and industrial engagement, and linking with communities to enhance access to education.

The position of Director, and Dean will support and report to the President, ensuring at this exciting time in its development that the mission and goals of the Institute are realised. S/he will provide proactive and inclusive academic and administrative leadership and management of the College, its constituent Schools, and its research. S/he will facilitate
colleagues in meeting their goals, further the realisation of the new campus, and drive engagement and co-operation with Schools across the Institute and with our partners in the Institutes of Technology in Blanchardstown and Tallaght as we create one of the first Technological Universities in Ireland.
