Our client Hickey’s Pharmacy is one of Ireland’s leading professional retail pharmacy groups, employing more than 300 people in 30 outlets across the country. Its professional team provides expert medical healthcare in the communities in which they serve. This ambitious company is entering a new era of growth and development. The Commercial Director will play a key role in driving the future commercial success and strategic direction of Hickey’s Pharmacy.
Reporting to the CEO you will lead the commercial and business development functions for the group. Striving always to achieve differentiation for Hickey’s Pharmacy in the market place, you will seek innovative ways to further develop its professional healthcare product offering. You will ensure that best in class business processes and systems are in use across the organisation, maximising efficiencies and commercial effectiveness. You will have full responsibility for the procurement function and team across the group, ensuring that at all times best practise is in place and that the organisation is profiting fully from its procurement policies.
You will be expected to make a significant contribution to the commercial and strategic development and direction of Hickey’s Pharmacy.
Candidates should have a third level qualification and a proven track record of success at a senior business development and commercial management level in a consumer/customer focused professional business environment. Specific sector knowledge is not essential but a background in the FMCG, consumer services or retail sectors would be useful. Excellent leadership, team building and communication skills are essential.
